What is Maundy Thursday
Maundy Thursday
Service – In the Chapel (8:30-4)
“What is Maundy Thursday?” The word Maundy is derived from the Latin word mandatum, meaning commandment.
Maundy refers to the commands Jesus gave his disciples at the Last Supper: to love with
humility by serving one another and to remember his sacrifice.
Maundy Thursday also reflects the last time Jesus had supper (fellowship) with his disciples.
We invite you to be still and offer yourselves to God in
prayer, confession, and communion
(The Lord’s Supper).
