Summer at the Sixth

Who Are We

The Sixth Avenue Community Development Corporation (a 501c3 nonprofit organization) exists to ensure children and families have access to high-quality out of school programming. We currently achieve this goal through our after-school learning program during the academic year and our Summer at the Sixth camp during the summer.

Why Summer at the Sixth

We believe summer is for making memories, exposure to new challenges, and fun with friends. From diverse offerings in fine arts like theatre, film making, and drumming to enrichment, entrepreneurship, and sports like golf, tennis, and flag football, Summer at the Sixth helps build confidence and character, and shapes children’s interests in arts, sports, academics, and potential careers. Ninety-five percent (95%) of our families return each summer and share their experiences with family and friends. In 2024, we expanded to provide additional lower elementary classes and this year, we added middle school classes with a unique curriculum to meet the developing needs and interests of our preteens. We’re happy to grow with you and can’t wait to serve your family!
